On Saturday 26 April Eat or Heat, our local foodbank, is holding a Spring Fair which is sponsored by the E-List at the St Mary’s Church Welcome Centre next to St Mary’s Church in Walthamstow village. Featuring cakes by Aura Rosa, the Wood Street Coffee Company, vintage clothes and accessories, Mother’s Ruin Gin and homeware it will run between 12-8pm.
There’s an exciting chance for children aged between 11-16 years old to race on the road circuit at the Lee Valley VeloPark in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20 3AB on Saturday 26th April from 4pm-6pm. The Stow Film Lounge at the Orford Road Social Club on Orford Road will be showing ‘The Great Beauty’ (Cert 15) on Friday 25th April, Doors 19:45, Film 20:30. Tickets cost £8/ 6 conc. The Stow Film Lounge will also be showing ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2’ (Cert U) onSaturday 26th April, Doors 10:30, Film 11:00. Wild Card Brewery will be having a beer launch on Saturday 26th April at the Wild Card Brewery at the Ravenswood Road Industrial Estate in Wood Street for the beer ‘Unit Pale Ale’ from 2pm. Lloyd Park presents ‘Senior Tai Chi Corner’, Free Tai Chi sessions for ages 50+. StartingSunday 27th April and then every Sunday morning onwards. Buses will replace trains between Barking and South Tottenham until 12:00 on Sunday 27th April. The rail replacement buses will pick up/set down in South Grove and in Selborne Road near Walthamstow Central. As usual timetables will be posted by BGORUG at bus stops and on the website  
The Stow Roses Choir will meet weekly on Mondays between 7.30pm and 9pm
 at the Bell pub, E17, starting on Monday 28th April.  All abilities welcome, and you don’t need to be able to read music either.  Songs will be chosen by the members.  If you haven’t already signed up, please feel free just to turn up on the night.  Cost: £5-£6 per week (depending on numbers attending).  Stow Roses members only.
Salaam Peace is holding an E17 Community Sports Event at Walthamstow Leisure Centre on the Tuesday 29th of April. The event will be aimed at Young People aged 10-19. The Stow Festival presents 24 hour stow-a-thon,  24 hours of free live music in Walthamstow on Sunday 4th  until Monday 5thMay in the Rose and Crown theatre pub E17 4SA. This bank holiday event is to raise money for local charity The Haven – an organisation that supports, assists and empowers individuals who have suffered from sexual violence.
Friends of Lloyd Park will be holding a dog show as part of the May Day Fair from 12:00-16:00 on Monday 5th May. For more details pleaseemail.
A Table Top Sale & Pirates Day Party will be held on Monday 5th May from 10 am – 5 pm at a local children’s charity based in 245 Wood Street E17 3NT. Chapel End Savoy Players present Gilbert and Sullivan’s powerful opera “The Yeomen of the Guard” at The Deaton Theatre E17 3PY from Thursday to Saturday 15th to 17th May 2014 inclusive.
