WORKING FOR WALTHAMSTOW

Markhouse takes its name from Markhouse Road, which bisects the ward into two. It stretches from Walthamstow Central Station in the north, to Low Hall Sports Ground in the west, to Boundary Road in the south. Queens Road runs through the area. The ward also contains St James Park, Walthamstow Cemetery, Kelmscott Leisure Centre, the CLaSS Centre, Kelmscott School, and three primary schools – Thomas Gamuel, St Saviours Primary School, and Barn Croft.
